Character LCDs / Using C0216CU-FSW-GBW-3V3 with arduino
« on: July 15, 2014, 09:32:19 PM »
I have been trying to get the C0216CU-FSW-GBW-3V3 displays to work with arduino. I understand that the liquid crystal library supports a different driver than these displays use (HD something). These displays use the ST7032 driver in 8 or 4 bit parallel mode.
I have found a library for ST7032 using I2C but is there an arduino library out there for ST7032 in 4 or 8 bit parallel mode?
I haven't gotten anything but the backlight to work on these things, is there something I'm missing? I've found some example programs from NHD written in some sort of assembly language. Could I get that to run? Is there a quick and easy way to get to the point that text appears on these things? how about controlling the text? I'm not even 100% confident I've wired up the display correctly.
Anyone used these before? mind telling/showing me how you got it to work?
Thanks,
moneybacon
