To help answer your questions when receiving your DevKit, we have provided a general assembly guide for each type of display that is supported by the NHDev development board. For additional information about the NHDev Development board, visit our NHDev Page. For additional questions or technical support, try visiting our Support Forum .



Select an assembly type:


• OLED Assembly
• Character LCD Assembly
• Graphic LCD Assembly
• COG LCD Assembly
• Small TFT Assembly
• Large TFT Assembly
















STEP 1

Take your OLED and ribbon cable.






STEP 2

Connect the cable to the display, there is a label advising which end connects with the display.
Remember to line up pin 1 on the display to pin 1 on the cable.






STEP 3

Connect the other end of the cable to the NHDev Board, lining up Pin 1 on the cable connector to Pin 1
on the NHDev Board.

STEP 1

Take your character display and ribbon cable.






STEP 2

Connect the cable to the display, there is a label advising which end connects with the display.
Remember to line up pin 1 on the display to pin 1 on the cable.

    




STEP 3

Connect the other end of the cable to the NHDev Board, lining up Pin 1 on the cable connector
to Pin 1 on the NHDev Board.

STEP 2

STEP 1

Start with your NHDev Board and FFC to thru-hole adapter board.

 




STEP 2

Connect the ribbon cable to the adapter board. There is a label advising which end connects with the display,
connect this end to the adapter board.

 




STEP 3

Connect the other end of the cable to the NHDev Board. Remember to line up Pin 1 on the cable connector
to Pin 1 on the NHDev Board.






STEP 4

Connect the COG display's flex cable into the adapter board.

 




STEP 5

Then connect the COG display's backlight cable into the adapter board.

(1.8" or 2.4" TFT sizes) Please note that the NHDev Board does not support the touch panels.




STEP 1

Connect the TFT display into the FFC to thru-hole adapter board.






STEP 2

Take your ribbon cable and connect one end to the adapter board. There is a label advising which end
connects with the display or adapter board.

 




STEP 3

Connect the other end of the cable to the NHDev Board. Remember to line up Pin 1 on the cable connector
to Pin 1 on the NHDev Board.

(3.5" and larger TFT sizes) Please note that the NHDev Board does not support the touch panels.




STEP 1

Start with connecting one end of the ribbon cable to the NHDev Board. There is a label advising which end
connects with the board. Remember to line up Pin 1 on the cable connector to Pin 1 on the NHDev Board.






STEP 2

Take the other end of the ribbon cable and connect to the FFC to thru-hole adapter board's pins.






STEP 3

Insert one end of the flat flex cable into the FFC connector.






STEP 4

You should now have both cables connected into the FFC to thru-hole adapter board as shown below.






STEP 5

Insert the other end of the flat flex cable into the controller board's 20 pin connector.






STEP 6

Then take the TFT display and connect to the controller board's 40 pin connector.
* This may not apply for some 5.7" or 7.0" TFTs.
