Hello,

I'm using the FT_App_Keyboard Sketch from Github with an Arduino Mega 2560 but if I'm pressing the button "f" hundred times the touch have some strange behaviour ... recognizing Buttons over 2 cm away from the pressed point (you can see on the Picture). Anyone else got this problem?
Just got the Display and the Shield yesterday, but I can't use this display with such a inaccuracy  ... is it a Problem from the sketch or the calibration??? I tried it about 20 times, always the same result :(

thanks

with Kind regards,

 Alex

Hi Alex,

Sorry to hear you are having this issue.  Does this only happen in the area of the F key?  Or will continuously pressing other keys result with similar results?
It may be related to the calibration of the touch screen, or possibly there is a defective zone on the touchscreen.  Please try loading some of the other example code to see if you get similar results and let us know what you find.

Best Regards,

Hi Ted,

first thank you for your time and Attention in advance.

It's not just the "f" key, but it happens more often starting from the middle onto the right side of the Display.
I also tried the "FT_App_Sketch", drawing vertical lines (pic 1), horizontal lines (pic 2) and squares with a dot in the middle (pic 3). I first used my finger, but for the pictures I used a pen for resistive touch displays.
I only have one digital multimeter, so it might be Kind of hard to measure the 4 lines of the FFC cable, maybe you can give me a hint, please ... I don't want to damage the board, because maybe I have to send it back, if there should be a problem I can't solve.

with kind regards,

Alex

Hi Alex,

This may be an issue with the resistive touchscreen itself.  Please contact us at customerservice@newhavendisplay.com in order to arrange a replacement.
Or visit the returns link: http://www.newhavendisplay.com/returns.html and refer to this forum post.

Best Regards,
