TFT Mounting Options
« on: June 03, 2014, 12:04:23 PM »
I would like to know if you could recommend mounting solutions for the NHD-7.0-800480EF-ATXV#-CTP.

I am an undergraduate college senior working on my graduation design project, and plan to integrate this display as part of the project. The target application is a guitar effect control interface built into the surface of the guitar itself. I am familiar with correct mounting methods for TFT LCDs, but have minimal capability of fabricating a custom solution. Ideally, I am looking for a prefabricated bezel and mounting clip assembly that would be compatible (or work with minor modifications), but have low familiarity with sourcing such components.

We actually don't offer any standard bezels/enclosures for mounting these displays, however, you may take a look at www.elwoodcontrols.com to see if they have something that can work for your application.  They offer standard and customized bezels for some of our products.

How do you suggest making the TFT display work in an IP68 environment?  Is there a film we can use across the front, with adhesive in the corners and edges, without messing up the touch screen?  What adhesive can we use on the back so we don't have to use screws?

If you would like to explore options for various films that can be put over the front of the display, you may take a look at www.viewthru.net, as they have several different types of these films.  As for adhesive, you may use any kind you wish.  I would recommend a very strong, double-sided adhesive for this.
