All of the characters are persistently lit up. I have tried two displays with the same result using the Atmega 328P. Connections and the processor have been checked several times. Does anyone know what input to the display would cause this to happen?

Hello,

I recommend double checking your initialization, please use our example initialization sequence in the display's datasheet, page 8.

If possible can you please provide your code, thanks!
