Title: NHD-7.0-800480EF-ASXN#-CTP: Nominal Backlight Current
Post by: emilzacharia on February 15, 2017, 01:02:23 AM
Hi,
Can anybody please tell what is the nominal current consumed by NHD-7.0-800480EF-ASXN#-CTP backlight leds at normal brightness.
From the datasheet I know that the maximum is 180mA.
But, I want to know the normal value.

Also, will 80mA be enough for proper backlight.

Thanks.

Answered through Email:

The 180 mA is the nominal value, the max allowed would be ~225 mA.
80 mA should be able to turn on the backlight however the display will be dimmer than what is stated in the datasheet.
