Title: NHD-C12864A1Z-FS(RGB)-FBW-HT1 heater
Post by: JB on April 27, 2015, 06:13:16 PM
I'm a bit confused trying to reconcile the diagram on page 4 of the datasheet with the diagram on page 5. Please can you tell me if I simply need to connect a 12V supply and leave it at that, or whether I need to take care of controlling the heating power? I presume I can choose to simply not use it? Thanks.

Hello,

Thanks for reaching out. There are multiple ways to control the displays heater.

1. The simplest method is to apply +12V to pin 14 and Gnd to pin 1.

2. Second you can use an external circuit to control the heater (see page 5), using a heater circuit can be energy efficent and can be configured to accommodate a variety of energy requirements.

Hope this helps!
