Title: Writing Character strings to NHD-1.8-128160EF-CTXI#

Has anyone have a good method to send character strings to display on the TFT LCD screen?

All the example codes show how to paint the entire screen a single colour, and from what I understand of the code, it's basically sending the pixel colour for each and every pixel of the 128x160 screen.

But is there a way to send characters onto the screen dynamically? Something similar to the UILCD_WriteData() functions for the COG screens?

Or must I write a rather complicated (in my mind) function that converts ascii characters to pixel maps and writes them onto the screen one by one?

Yes, you would need to do exactly what you have described in your last statement.  You need a font table in your program, and then you need a function that draws each character pixel by pixel based off the font table.  Similar to below:

Please note this is simply one example of accomplishing this.  For different style fonts, larger text, etc. you will need to write code to accommodate.

I'm new in the forum and in the use of TFT Newhaven and seeing the solution you gave , could , if possible , give me the code of the functions :

- Set_Page_Address
- LCD_Pixel
