TFTs / different voltages for VDD and IOVDD (NHD-2.4-240320SF-CTXL#-FTN1)

Hi,
I am reading the datasheet for NHD-2.4-240320SF-CTXL#-FTN1, and it is not entirely clear that VDD and IOVDD are allowed to be driven by different voltages. I am thinking about driving the LCD (VDD) with 2.8V, while driving the logic (IOVDD) with 3.3V, to simplify the interface with the rest of the board, which is driven by 3.3V. Would this be a good or a bad idea?
Best Regards,
Jonas
